So I Found Out Today That A Co-Worker Is Dying | ohioscott's Blog

Boy, talk about sad... my friends wife had some leg trouble during her pregnancy, she gave birth to a son about 2 weeks ago... So my friend from work (the husband) had some pain in his left hip/leg. He eventually went to the doctor and got pain meds. Then his right hip/leg began to hurt. He couldn't work. The pain was terrible. He's in the hospital and today I found out that he has stage 4 cancer. And here's the worst part: No life insurance. It's just so sad. What must he be going through? How will his family survive without him? He's only 36 years old for God's sake. It's just so sad, his wife is in such a tough place in life... and the kids too. It's just tragic. I'm not super-depressed or anything, but I'm just worried about his family... So sad...

My mood: somewhat sad

The fact is it affects everyone from as you say feeling sad and well the devastation of losing his dad for a newborn child and his mother must be beyond words. I don't know what to say but this life has a lot to live through. Has it metastasized or can they remove the leg. Stage four says to me it is elsewher too I guess he has been so well for so long.
baker998	Posted on 03:11PM on May 12th, 2009 Maybe some good can out of this... Here you have an oportunity to make life better for her and for him . Make a few phone calls to the media. See If one of them will run a human interest story. Maybe try to start a fund to help this woman and her children. You could make a difference... and at the same time.. boost your self esteem. Think about it
